After years of working with musical drama, modern drama and classical texts in the major theatres in Denmark, Ditte established Global Stories. A platform working with research-based docufiction, using performative and interactional strategies. Her work investigates economical, sociological and political dilemmas and turn them into challenging and entertaining performances. From 2014-2017 Ditte was chair of the Stageart Committee under the Danish Art Council. From 2018 Ditte is senior lecturer at Malmø Theatre Academy, Lunds University.

  • 1992: Stage director at the Danish National School of Performing Arts
  • 1993-1996: Artistic director of Vendsyssel Theatre in Northern Jutland
  • 1996-2010: Freelance director at different Danish theatres, a.o. Århus Teater, Ålborg Teater, Det Danske Teater, Det Kgl. Teater and Teatret Zeppelin
  • 2006-2008: Curator at Camp X, which experimented with the extension of the theater concept, Camp X collaborated with Rimini Protokoll, Campo Victoria and Gob Squad. In 2007/08 Camp X was appointed the best theatre of the year by the audience (AOK)
  • 2014-2017: Chair of the Stage Art Committee, Danish Art Council. From this position she was leading strategic work on diversity, internationalisation and collaboration between independent performers / project-based theatres and established houses.
  • Recent productions include: „ Made in India“, documentary theatre on Indian surrogacy,”Ni hao Nuuk“, an expedition into the future of Greenland and ” I am also Somalia”.
  • In addition, Ditte has worked as a teacher, lecturer, consultant and member of the jury at the Danish National School of Performing Arts.
